Last week, aviation fire training instructor Neil Crosby spent a week at Finlands Emergency Services College in Kuopio helping out on their tactical ventilation course in conjunction with IFTC friend and colleague, Dieter Schmidt.
The course workshop consisted of both German and Swedish delegates, who had received prior and varying levels of knowledge in the operational application of tactical ventilation and fire behaviour.
Neil said, “The venue and all its facilities, was the finest level of environment location and equipment viewed during overseas relocation. The level of professionalism and conduct displayed by the Finland tutor team, Teemu Pietila and Raimo Savola and all those assisting was remarkable, their level of knowledge in relation to course content was considerable, pertinent and current to the course aims and objectives. This was indeed a most valuable opportunity, to work with undoubtedly, world leaders in this field of operation.”
