Queens Award Presentation

12 Sep 2017
Today is a very exciting and special day for all of us here at The International Fire Training Centre. The team at IFTC welcomed the Lord Lieutenant of Durham, Sue Snowdon, to IFTC today to present the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade. The Lord Lieutenant watched an exercise by the German Air Force fire team and operated the tender roof monitor on a CAT 8 fire. She was joined by Cadet Regimental Sergeant Major Harvey Duffield from the Cleveland Cadets. Harvey recently won Cadet of the Year from a force of 43,000 UK cadets and attended the Lord Lieutenant during her tour of the business.

This award recognises companies for outstanding achievements in exports and for contributing to the international reputation of the UK. We are deeply honored and pleased to be presented with this award and have had a fantastic day showing the Lord-Lieutenant our amazing facility.
